STABILUS’ moving presentation at the Automechanika: POWERISE – the automatic drive for trunk lids and tailgates

STABILUS GmbH (www.stabilus.de) sets more in motion than trunk lids: From September 11 through 16, STABILUS will present its entire aftermarket product line, including its new products, at this year’s “Automechanika.” Visitors to booth D31 in Hall 3.0 of what is the world’s largest trade fair for the automotive industry will be introduced to several innovations, among them POWERISE - STABILUS' automatic drive for trunk lids. Developed for opening and closing of trunk lids and tailgates safely and conveniently, one of its features is custom-tailored modularity.

“Automechanika” is considered the largest international trade fair for the automotive aftermarket sector. As a globally leading developer and manufacturer of gas springs, hydraulic vibration dampers and automatic opening and closing systems for tailgates, STABILUS will have a noticeable presence at this important trade fair. Its approx. 15,000 part numbers make the company the only global supplier to offer a nearly complete product line for vehicles and also serve the spare parts market for utility vehicles.

In addition to presenting its extensive portfolio, STABILUS will take the opportunity to launch innovations for the aftermarket at this fair, such as the POWERISE, an automatic trunk lid and tailgate drive designed for series production, making this solution now also available to the aftermarket in a pioneering move.

STABILUS monitoring trends at the “Automechanika“

At the same time, the company will also be your expert contact at this trade fair for trending topics in the current market for this segment. Horst Oehl, Aftermarket Sales Manager at STABILUS, explains: “We are seeing an increased demand for more convenience in spare parts in the industry again. This means that optimum function must be achieved even in difficult installation applications. Increasingly, customers are asking for additional functional features. These might include gas springs that can stop several times within their opening range, so that a tailgate can be opened in stages. Customers want to see the quality characteristics or additional functions offered in the OEM part in the spare parts line also.” STABILUS meets these demands for quality, flexibility, a high number of variants and high development potential – for example around the POWERISE.

Regarding trends in the spare parts market, Oehl adds: “I see more growth in spare parts due to rising numbers of vehicle registrations and the trend towards optimum reconstitution of original functions in case of repairs. Although there will be concentration due to takeovers in retail, the market volume will definitely increase.”
