Active Retail Asset Management is a Czech shopping mall operator providing all services from a single source: tenant management, marketing and advertising, leasing and corporate accounting, and facility management.
Founded in 2014, the company currently has three shopping centers and one retail park in the Czech Republic under management, with a total of 200,000 m² of retail space, over 300 internationally recognized brands from all sectors and more than 25 million annual visitors.
The latest addition to the portfolio of Active Retail Asset Management is the Futurum shopping mall in Hradec Králové. “The mall opened in 2000 and was enlarged and modernized in 2012,” explains General Manager Martin Kubík. “We have been managing it since 2014 on behalf of its owner Meyer Bergman, a real estate investment and fund management firm from the UK.”
Active Retail Asset Management provides its customers – property owners, developers and investors – with complete solutions including everything to build long-term value and revenue growth.
“We ensure a well-balanced mix of tenants including the world’s best-known brands, manage advertising campaigns and organize special events to attract customers and maintain the mall and its surroundings in a clean and pleasant state,” Mr. Kubík describes the comprehensive service portfolio. “It is most important to have the right mix of tenants. You need to have fashion stores but also services like dry cleaning, hairdressers, post office and banks, as well as a supermarket, which is run by TESCO, and a cinema to bring some life and entertainment not only for children.”
Active Retail Asset Management is very successful in its activities: Every shopping center managed by the Czech firm exhibits constant growth in visitor numbers and property revenue. In order to further enhance the value of its customers’ retail assets, Active Retail Asset Management plans to open a crèche in the Futurum mall and improve parking facilities.
At the same time, the experienced mall operator wants to acquire additional customers. “We are in contact with other shopping center owners to work for them,” concludes Mr. Kubík.
