Keeping animals healthy

Portrait

AVEVE Biochem began its work over 30 years ago and has been doing solid research into various aspects of animal nutrition for 25 years. In 2013 AVEVE Biochem NV was established as its own seperate legal entity within the larger AVEVE Group.

The company’s mission is to develop, manufacture and sell high-quality biochemical specialities on a global scale. The business was the first to investigate the possibility of using different types of enzymes, such as fiber degrading, protease, amylase and phytase. in animal nutrition.

“We have also done decades’ worth of research into building up a large knowledge base about microbial regulators such as medium chain glycerides and essential oils,” explains Erik Vanderbeke, Managing Director of AVEVE Biochem NV. Sales of this second specialization, the AveMix® Microbial Regulators, were launched in 2006.

Currently, the firm offers two different product groups to its customers: AveMix® Enzymes and AveMix® Microbial Regulators. Enzymes are used for feed economy issues while microbial regulators are used for health issues, such as keeping the intestines of the animal healthy. In addition to these product groups, clients can also get feed formulation advice, known as AveMix® Services.

“We do a lot of customization within this service,” says Mr. Vanderbeke. “Our customers know what their farm clients need and often ask us to develop something that fits the specific needs of those farmers.”

This requires employees who are experts in the field, and AVEVE Biochem has those experts on hand. The company and its employees have an extensive background in animal nutrition and its applications. This background, combined with a lot of research and know-how about what the products do, makes the firm the obvious choice within the industry.

Future plans for AVEVE Biochem include expanding its global market share: Growth in existing markets such as Asia, Africa, Europe and Middle East and reinforcing of new areas such as the Americas, with the company already being registered in Brazil. The group is dedicated to creating the safest and highest-quality products for its customers.
