Competence in coatings

“We are well positioned, as we are soundly based on a range of pillars,” says Dr. Gudrun Schopf, Authorized Officer and Member of the Management. “Founded back in 1921, brocolor® LACKFABRIK has a wealth of experience in paints and coatings and competence in many fields. For more than 80 years now, the company has manufactured paints and coatings, initially decorative and building paints, which were supplied to painters in the region, and since the 1990s industrial coatings. In 2002, the takeover by the Dutch Elsan Holding was the starting point for a very positive development based on a sound financial backing and synergetic effects within the Elsan Group.”

Headed by A.M. Schokker, the company has state-of-the-art facilities that meet the highest safety and environmental standards and an experienced staff of 50. Industrial coatings are still the main field of business.

“We manufacture solvent-based coatings for metallic surfaces including customized and private label products,” explains Dr. Schopf. “We are well known for coatings which are easy to use and which offer excellent value for money without compromising on quality or durability.”

The company also manufactures coatings for special applications and keeps adding innovative products such as the new BROCOPHAN acrylic one coat paint. Aerosol paints are another speciality designed for a wide range of decorative applications.

Moreover, the company is active in contract manufacturing, a field with growth potential on an international scale. “We have the know-how, the facilities and the experts to meet the most demanding and urgent customers wishes,” states Dr. Schopf. “We are extremely flexible and supply products at short notice, even within 24 hours.”

Competent and flexible, brocolor® LACKFABRIK is well positioned for the future. “We see growth potential above all in contract manufacturing, we have three major projects for 2016, and we will further expand these activities in the future and open up new foreign markets,” concludes Dr. Schopf. “We also expect growth in the field of special coatings and bespoke coatings developed and manufactured to customers’ requirements.”
