With customers in more than 50 countries and over three decades of technological expertise and innovation, Buzon is the world’s leading manufacturer of adjustable terrace pedestals.
Established by Claude Buzon in 1983, the company specializes in polypropylene pedestals for residential, commercial, industrial and public terrace systems. The family enterprise was managed by Claude Buzon until 2018 and is now managed together with his children Laurent, 51 years old, CEO, and Laure, 29 years old, who reached the Cie in 2014 and is manager for finance and personnel management. Buzon has 20 employees, turns over eight million EUR and focuses on product development and sales.
“We have outsourced our production to quality contract manufacturers,” says Laurent Buzon. Buzon offers three product families for the construction of raised terraces: pedestals for residential terraces, for public spaces and for architects and designers.
When Buzon started 36 years ago, it had no competitors. “Today, there are 25 Buzon Distributors, who cover 50 countries over the world,” states Mr. Buzon. “There are wide differences in quality, however. As we only do pedestals and are constantly developing new, innovative solutions, we are still the market leader, and we are committed to maintaining this position.”
We do not just supply a product but a complete solution. Laurent BuzonCEO
The strengths of Buzon as the pioneer in adjustable terrace pedestals are its long experience, its innovativeness and its solution-oriented approach. “We do not just supply a product but a complete solution that includes customized installation support,” says Mr. Buzon.
Buzon pedestals are also highly robust and come with a guarantee of up to 30 years and are 100% recyclable and fireproof. To support its uninterrupted growth, Buzon has just invested four million EUR in new office and storage space. “In the past four years, we have hired nine new people,” explains Mr. Buzon. “We want to maintain this pace of development and are looking for new international markets, especially at the high end.”
