Helicopters, satellite components, huge machines or hazardous goods, these are some few examples of special solutions provided by CLAUS Spedition. “We are a forwarding agency with more than 40 years of experience,” says Director Hans Heiler, who has been with CLAUS Spedition for 15 years. “In 1978 Norbert Claus established the company and he sold it to me, when he retired in 2010. Today, we offer a variety of transport and logistics services with focus on the Europewide transport of special loads such as oversized goods with up to 3.25 m of height and 3.00 m of width under tarpaulin, heavy machines with up to 25 t of weight, undercover transport, military equipment and hazardous goods class 1, some 400 t a year. We also distribute goods in the Munich area and carry goods for industrial enterprises including complete logistics services.”
CLAUS Spedition is based on the ground of Airbus, its most important customer, followed by Siemens, Bosch, MBDA and other arms manufacturers. The company has a fleet of 27 vehicles from sprinter vans to Mega liners and 4,000 m2 of warehouse facilities for logistics, packaging and commissioning. “We fully meet the strictest requirements to quality and safety,” underlines Mr. Heiler. “We are certified to ISO 9002 for quality and ISO 14001 for environmental compatibility, our vehicles are regularly exchanged to meet the latest standards.
We are well known for quick response to orders and for strictly adhering to schedules. Our highly specialized staff of 45 greatly contributes to the turnover of 6 million EUR, 30% of which is generated outsiede of Germany. We are determined to increase these figures in the future by winning new customers for example at the Transport Logistics trade show in Munich.”
