Managing Director František Chmelar founded C.S.O. in 1992. Only two years later, the company was able to move to its present site and inaugurate its first production hall. The first CNC machine was set up in 1997.
Computer-controlled production started soon after. In 2003 C.S.O. achieved ISO 9001 certification. Certification according to AS 9100 followed in 2013. In its 25th anniversary year, the company presents itself as a modern, high-performance enterprise with a 4,000 m² production plant, 150 qualified employees and steadily rising turnover volumes.
Foreign business focuses on Germany, Switzerland and England while promising contacts to neighbouring Austria have already been established.
“Our Managing Director has a decisive share in the company’s very positive performance,” says Andrea Baumann, Sales Manager. “Mr. Chmelar has entrepreneurial spirit and the courage to invest at the right time to achieve growth and advancement. He appreciates his team and does everything to create a good working environment, which contributes to staff motivation and optimum results.”
Guided by the aim to achieve total customer satisfaction, C.S.O. continues to invest in the most advanced hardware and software equipment. CNC milling, CNC grinding, lathe shaping, CNC electro-erosive shaping, rotor balancing, welding and locksmithery are technological possibilities carried out with utmost precision, complemented by special processes such as heat treatment and final treatment.
Long-term investment plans secure the company’s position at the forefront of technology. “This year we are buying two new CNC milling machines and another processing machine, which raises our capacity to 18 milling centers and twelve processing centers,” confirms Ms. Baumann. “We feel committed to our clients and partners, who depend on the superior quality and precision of the metal components we deliver. It is important to maintain or even enhance our good business relations in future, too.”
The fact that the global aviation industry has become the most important market served by C.S.O. speaks for itself. “Precision is of paramount importance in this industry,” emphasizes Ms. Baumann. “We produce parts for air and water circuits on board as well as interiors, for example for Airbus suppliers, but we also serve the spectroscopic analysis, telecommunications and other industries with exacting requirements. Above all, we are prepared to meet customers’ special requirements.”
