Today the watchword in ERP and CRM solutions is software as a service or SaaS. Here, the software is hosted remotely and accessed, usually via a thin client, through the cloud. The system offers numerous benefits, not least the ability to control costs. For the SaaS provider, the benefits are long-term contracts and a guaranteed income. “We see CRM as more than just software,” says Managing Director Christoph Schulze-Berge. “CRM is an overarching philosohpy that is anchored in a company’s corporate strategy with the aim of developing profitable relationships between the company and its customers.”

COVIS offers solutions in the key areas of Business Process Management, CRM, Business Intelligence and Enterprise Application Integration. “Together, these form the basis of the COVIS Platform, an ecosystem of tried and tested software modules that guarantee robustness, security and high performance,” says Development Director Rüdiger Plette. “This ecosystem is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our clients and offer them the best of the latest technological advances.”

COVIS offers its clients full transparency so that the total cost of ownership is clear throughout. It is known for its agile software solutions that combine individuality with standardized components. The company operates its own data center in Düsseldorf with 24-hour supervision and 99.95% availability.

“We assume complete responsibility for our client’s ERP needs and provide them with a single point of contact for an instant resolution to any problems,” says Mr. Schulze-Berge. “Our strength lies in our ability to network a company’s activities throughout the supply chain.”

COVIS has an impressive reference list of blue chip clients including Deutsche Post DHL, ABN-AMRO, Opel, Aral, Dow Corning, Kimberly-Clark, Liebherr and Philips. It recently concluded a contract for a project with a leading DAX company which will be implemented in the fourth quarter of 2016.

“There is a lot happening in this particular sector, but we are fortunate that our technology platform is so versatile and flexible,” says Mr. Plette. With 45 employees and ten million EUR annual turnover, there  is plenty of room for expansion. “We will certainly expand further in the future,” says Mr. Schulze-Berge. “Our tools do more than simply monitor business processes. They provide active process management.”
