Keeping the air moving

“We have more than 50 years of experience in air conditioning,” says Managing Director Andreas Friedl. “My uncle founded the company in 1961 as a service provider for industrial oil and gas burners. The development of the FRIVENT capillary ventilator for heat recovery was the breakthrough for our own production. Today, we offer a complete range of ventilation and air conditioning systems. We supply plant builders and installers with bespoke solutions for heating and ventilating maintenance halls for the railway or other halls with a height of up to 40 m, for dehumidifying swimming pools, for aerating building machines or comfort air conditioning systems for private and professional applications, and we develop special solutions.”

Frivent is internationally active with branches in Germany, the Czech Republic, Russia and Lithuania and sales agents in Italy, Switzerland and Ukraine.

“With a staff of 50 at our headquarters and another 50 in our branches, we generate turnover of 8.5 million EUR, 90% of which comes from foreign markets,” states Mr. Friedl. “We are not the biggest, but we are flexible and reactive, and as a family business, we put emphasis on a close personal relationship with customers. We want to remain independent by constantly developing new energy-saving and space-saving solutions, such as our latest development Thermobloc, the extremely flat intelligent ventilation, heating and cooling system with 90% heat recovery, which is designed to fit into any crawl space.”
