When Salvatore Pantano founded the company about 20 years ago, he was convinced that the cleaning sector provided a lot of possibilities. “At first, Pagi concentrated on housing communities,” explains Managing Director Salvatore Pantano. “An important milestone took place five years after the company’s foundation: We began to extend our service portfolio and offered cleaning services for offices.”
Since 2000, Pagi has also specialised in integrated services for its clients. “Over the years, our company became recognised as a reliable and respectable partner,” states the Mr. Pantano. “Today, our portfolio includes messenger, guard and reception services, all undertaken by professional and conscientious employees.” Pagi and its staff of 300 people, 80% of them in part-time jobs, generate an annual turnover of six million EUR.
Although Pagi’s core business is found in cleaning services for offices, the enterprise aims at approaching further target audiences. “We plan to cooperate with bank groups and insurance companies,” says Mr. Pantano. “At present, we are also focusing on an expansion of our business activities to southern Italy. In this regard, we already opened a sales office in Rome.”
In terms of marketing and distribution, Pagi follows traditional methods. “Word-of-mouth has proven highly effective for us,” explains the managing director. “We maintain direct contact with interested parties and regular customers.” Despite a highly competitive market in northern Italy, Pagi sees good chances to expand its business.
