“We have acquired a high level of expertise in single-use products for collecting, storing, transferring, mixing, analysing, applying or filtering all kinds of fluids in the medical sector,” stresses Managing Director Joachim Lehmann. “Already this diversity of handling fluids gives an impression of the products required to carry out these tasks. The user needs plastic products that are reliable and easy to apply. Within our group we are the leading specialist for highly complex plastic products.”
Röchling Medical Brensbach can look back on more than 25 years of expertise in the manufacture of high-quality plastic products. The company was founded in 1992 by Reiner Oertel with a focus on plastic injection moulding for household products and parts for the automotive industry.
In 1993, the production of medical devices was launched. 2008 marked a decisive date in the company’s development when it was taken over by the Röchling Group, an international company that provides solutions in plastics for industrial, automotive and medical applications worldwide. Röchling employs more than 11,000 people in 90 locations in 25 countries.
“We are part of Röchling’s medical division which operates several production sites in the USA, Germany and China. Here in Brensbach, we employ 100 people and generate a turnover of ten million EUR” says Mr. Lehmann, who together with Alexander Stauch manages the subsidiary. In 2018, the company was renamed Röchling Medical Brensbach GmbH, a clear indication of its new ownership and its specialization in plastic products for the medical industry.
“We are involved in the entire value chain, starting with product development and going through to contract manufacturing and packaging. We operate our own tool-making division which manufactures precision tools required for our plastic production. This is how we provide each individual customer with the perfect product he requires,” states Mr. Lehmann. “In order to offer the entire value chain to our customers, our locations within the medical division closely cooperate.”
Our plastic products are designed to be patient-friendly when applied. Joachim LehmannManaging Director
The plastic products find their way into the fields of diagnostics, fluid management, pharma and surgery & interventional. “Just think of primary packaging systems, surgical instruments and disposable diagnostic items. Everyday items such as bottles for cleaning liquids for contact lenses, squeeze bottles for eye drops, nasal spray bottles or infusion bottles are just some examples of our production capacity,” says Mr. Lehmann. The entire production process is located in state-of-the-art clean rooms, meeting the highest standards and smart factory conditions.
“The first production hall with clean room technology was opened in 2012, followed by a second clean room production unit in 2017,” states Mr. Lehmann. “In the coming years, we will keep a close eye on patient-friendly products which make treatment in the medical sector much easier.”
