Greater efficiency, improved cargo security and reduced costs are the benefits the Signode Industrial Group provides to its customers with its advanced packaging solutions. “We are not only a distributor, but also a producer of industrial packaging,” says David Hakansson, Managing Director of the Signode Industrial Group AB. “This way, we have the knowledge and experience in-house, and can develop specific packaging solutions according to the individual requirements of our customers.”

The history of Signode dates back more than 100 years. In the course of more than one century, the company has brought a variety of innovations to the market, significantly influencing the packaging industry. Since the 1920s, Signode has focused on international expansion and established relationships with customers worldwide.

The Signode Industrial Group produces strap, stretch and protective packaging as well as packaging tools and equipment. Since 2014, Burseryds Bruk has been a part of the Signode Industrial Group. Burseryds Bruk produces cold-rolled steel strip for industrial applications and steel strapping.

“Within the group, we offer a broad range of packaging solutions for different industries,” explains Mr. Hakansson. “The European market is the major one, but also we have as well customers in both Asia and in the North American region, served by the Scandinavian entity. We provide ideal solutions for the customers in those regions.”

Signode has been active in the market for many decades. Continuous improvements of the products and production processes have been significant for the company’s success and its development into one of the big players in the packaging industry.

The group has the innovative strength and potential to become even more successful and is ready to face the challenges of the future. “In Burseryds Bruk we do also have the Industrial Applications product segment which includes cold-rolled and galvanized finished streel strip products. At the moment that is a driving force for us, and we are always keen on finding new applications that our customers are ready to implement. We put a lot of effort into bebeing the best partner for our customers to make them successful,” explains Mr. Hakansson.
