The fact that LMW Leichtmetallguss GmbH is operating in the absolute premium segment with their cookware is evident from their customers. In addition to outfitters of commercial kitchens, renowned manufacturers such as Miele and Bosch/Siemens rely on the quality products of the family-owned company from Neuenrade in the Sauerland.

"Apart from applying the coating, the complete production is done in-house," explains CEO Maximilian Löffler, who manages LMW Leichtmetallguss GmbH together with his mother Jacqueline Löffler. The company produces pans, pots, woks, and roasters – all made from cast aluminum.

"We are one of the few companies in the industry that still produces in Germany," Maximilian Löffler highlights a strength of LMW. "Our suppliers are also from Germany. Moreover, our quality is hard to surpass. We are also very flexible, fulfill almost every wish of our clients, and take on even smaller batch sizes."

In addition to cookware for large customers like Miele, Bosch/Siemens, and Rational, LMW is increasingly focusing on its own brand Eurolux, which is marketed through its own shop and via Amazon.

Strengthening Own Brand

In 1986, Managing Director Jacqueline Löffler founded LMW Leichtmetallguss in Werdohl. Seven years later, the company moved to Neuenrade. Since then, the operation with currently 45 employees and a turnover of ten million EUR has been steadily expanded. Germany and the DACH region are the main sales markets. In addition, LMW also exports its products to other countries, for example to Australia.

Sales are handled by field staff as well as two additional in-house employees. Besides the most important fair, 'Ambiente' in Frankfurt, LMW is also presented at other kitchen fairs. Production processes are planned and controlled using an ERP system. A forward-thinking aspect is also its sustainable orientation.

"We want to move away from fossil fuels," says the CEO. "We are already setting trends with LED lighting, energy audits, and heat recovery. For the time after our currently still affordable gas contract expires, we plan to install a photovoltaic system and also want to renew one of our melting furnaces." In the coming years, the family-oriented company with many long-term employees plans to further expand its own brand Eurolux, streamline work processes, and relieve employees through further automation.
