BOOT & FUN Berlin 2026: When Water Sports, Camping, and Outdoor Activities Come Together
Boat, motor home, or expedition vehicle? For many leisure enthusiasts, these worlds can no longer be clearly separated. Those who spend their free time outdoors combine water sports with traveling, camping, and other outdoor activities. The Messe Berlin will address this development in late November. From November 26 to 29, 2026, BOOT & FUN will once again be part of OutVenture Berlin, a platform that brings together water sports, fishing, caravanning, and off-road under one roof.
For water sports enthusiasts, BOOT & FUN remains a central component. Sailing and motor boats, yachts, and houseboats meet electric boats, equipment, refit, used boats, as well as travel and leisure offers. On the eve of the fair, on November 25th, the traditional GALA-NIGHT OF THE BOATS opens the halls.
What the fair displays
At the heart of BOOT & FUN are sailing and motor boats, yachts, houseboats, classics, and refit boats, electric boats as well as water sports equipment, travel offers, and used boats. The event starts with the GALA-NIGHT OF THE BOATS on November 25th from 6 PM to midnight, a traditional pre-event with an exclusive fair preview. The Berlin event is cut larger than its name suggests. Under the brand OutVenture Berlin, four areas come together: BOOT & FUN, ANGELWELT, CARAVAN & CAMPING, and OFFROAD & NATURE. ANGELWELT separately occupies the venue from November 27th to 29th. Motorhomes, caravans, conversions, tents, and accessories are added; all-terrain vehicles, pickups, quads, and expedition vehicles show how far the field of the outdoor market has now extended.
Water sports remain the core
Despite the broader trade fair concept, BOOT & FUN does not lose its actual profile. The event continues to cover a wide spectrum of water sports: from the first leisure boat to high-quality yachts and houseboats. The location has a special significance for inland water sports. Berlin and Brandenburg have more than 3,000 lakes, numerous rivers, and an extensive water sports area. The fair thus takes place in a region where boats are not just holiday products but are an integral part of leisure activities for many people. Besides traditional sailing and motorboats, electric drives, equipment, and options for modernizing existing boats are also to play a role. This includes the second-hand boat market. Thus, the fair addresses different target groups: from beginners to experienced boat owners.
The leisure markets are moving closer together
The concept around OutVenture Berlin is particularly interesting for 2026. Messe Berlin introduced the umbrella brand in 2025 and groups under it BOOT & FUN, ANGELWELT, CARAVAN & CAMPING, and OFFROAD & NATURE. From several previously separate leisure fairs, this creates a more unified outdoor platform. This is also economically understandable. The target groups overlap: a boat owner might be interested in camping and travel, an angler in boats or outdoor equipment, a camper in off-road vehicles. This creates opportunities for manufacturers and dealers to reach visitors beyond their traditional core target group. BOOT & FUN is thus not thought of as smaller but embedded in a larger leisure market.
From Motorhome to Expedition Vehicle
This is particularly evident in the parallel sectors represented. CARAVAN & CAMPING focuses on mobile travel with motorhomes, caravans, conversions, tents, and accessories. OFFROAD & NATURE, on the other hand, targets those who want to travel off paved roads. Here, the range extends from all-wheel-drive vehicles to pickups and quads to expedition vehicles. On Friday, ANGELWELT adds another large thematic area. It runs from November 27 to 29, 2026, and offers everything related to fishing gear, various fishing techniques, and travel to the fairgrounds. This allows visitors to cover a much broader section of the outdoor market with one fair visit than at a traditional boat show.
The GALA NIGHT OF BOATS opens the fair
For BOOT & FUN, the program starts already one evening before the regular fair operation. On November 25, 2026, from 6 PM to 12 AM, the GALA NIGHT OF BOATS takes place. This pre-event combines the presentation of the boats with live entertainment and offers the opportunity to get an overview of new products and models before the official start of the fair. The following morning, the regular fair operation begins. OutVenture Berlin is open from November 26 to 29, each day from 10 AM to 6 PM. ANGELWELT starts a day later and runs until Sunday.
More than a traditional boat show
BOOT & FUN Berlin 2026 thus also shows how leisure fairs are changing. Products alone are increasingly insufficient to bring different target groups together. What becomes crucial is the connection of various interests and usage situations. For BOOT & FUN, this means: Boats and water sports remain the core but are increasingly seen in a broader context with travel, camping, outdoor, and individual recreation. OutVenture Berlin makes these overlaps visible and brings the various markets together from November 26 to 29 at the Berlin fairgrounds. Those primarily interested in boats will still find a wide range of water sports offerings. Those who also have camping, fishing or off-roading in mind will find the respective areas right next door. This connection is likely to make the key difference from a traditional boat show in 2026.
