Especially driven by digitalization, the printing and paper industry has been under pressure for a long time. Having been on the market for over 100 years, CITO-SYSTEM GmbH from Schwaig near Nuremberg has mastered many ups and downs of the industry. With technologically advanced solutions, flexibility, and speed, the company offers state-of-the-art solutions for printing and paper processing to secure its customers' processes.

With roots dating back to 1906, CITO is a renowned partner in the printing and paper processing industry. The company stands on four pillars.

BoxLine offers competent solutions for the die-cutting process of folding cartons, corrugated packaging, and displays. FormLine includes components and solutions for the production of die-cuts, PrintLine for innovative systems around the offset printing press focusing on online finishing, and anti-marking as well as cleaning solutions for flexographic printing presses. ProcessLine optimizes processes in printing, die-making, and further processing. "Packaging must fulfill various functions today," says Managing Director Oliver Kellermann. "We offer solutions for the entire packaging industry. We are much more than just a product supplier. As the solutions become more digital, we provide intensive consulting and train employees accordingly for operating the machines."

The production facilities are designed and built in-house. This achieves the highest efficiency in the production of products. The application experts and the R&D team at CITO work hand in hand with partners and customers to constantly optimize and expand the product portfolio.

"A central issue currently is the shortage of skilled workers, which we are actively addressing," says Managing Director Thomas Gerner. "As an employer, we stand for appreciation, development opportunities, humanity, and safety."

Oliver Kellermann and Thomas Gerner face the current market challenges with commitment and foresight. "IT security is a rolling process," says Oliver Kellermann. "German legislation prevents accelerated development and leads to high costs. "Abroad, there is a greater understanding of the issue, and the bureaucratic hurdles are not as high. International customers do not pay us for these additional regulations. No wonder that many medium-sized companies are considering giving up their locations in Germany. However, we remain committed to the location Germany and face the challenges."
