INTERGEO 2026 in Munich: Geodata for construction, administration, and real estate

From September 15 to 17, 2026, INTERGEO will open at Messe München. The trade fair for geodesy, geoinformation, and land management no longer targets only surveyors. In Munich, the 2026 event will address how geodata can support concrete decisions in infrastructure, administration, mobility, and real estate.

The Topics Behind the Fair

The key focuses show where the industry is heading: digital twins, reality capturing, AI-supported analysis, and connected data spaces. What was long considered a specialty field is becoming the data foundation for construction projects, climate adaptation, and the digitalization of administration. For decision-makers outside of traditional surveying, this is precisely the reason to take a closer look. The conference delves deeper into these themes. The program includes GeoAI, Earth Observation, BIM, Climate Tech, engineering geodesy, and unmanned systems. The program text prominently features AI and GeoAI. At the fair, it is worth inquiring what is operational and what remains a demonstration.

What's New in 2026

For the first time, the organizers are opening the Conference-Opening, including Keynotes, to all ticket holders. Those who have only visited the Expo before can now participate in the professional start on Tuesday morning without additional cost. The opening keynote will be delivered by Jack Dangermond, founder and president of Esri; his topic will be the contribution of Geographic Information Systems to more informed and sustainable decisions. The Real Estate Lab, launched in 2025, will continue. It brings together real estate, urban development, and geo-IT, and presents a white paper from the previous year. The morning program in 2026 will be open to all conference attendees, followed by a closed session with invited experts in the afternoon. The most visible increase will be seen in Hall C5. There, the Reality Capturing Experience Parc is being developed, where Mobile Mapping, Laser Scanning, and Photogrammetry can be viewed live and compared directly between different vendors. For anyone planning a purchase in this field, this is the most practical part of the fair. Technology side by side, under real conditions, rather than from a datasheet. The area is being developed with NavVis and complements the existing Application Dome; a partnership with 3DISE is added as a Reality Capture Hub.

Practical relevance

According to the organizers' figures, INTERGEO gathers over 530 exhibitors from 119 countries and around 18,500 visitors. It is supported by DVW and HINTE Expo & Conference GmbH; Hexagon, Autodesk, Esri, and Trimble serve as platinum sponsors. For professionals in construction, administration, and real estate, the 2026 program offers more points of contact than the name of the fair would suggest. INTERGEO runs daily from 9 AM to 6 PM in halls B5/6 and C5/6. Expo and Conference tickets remain separately bookable, but the joint start on Tuesday is open to everyone this year.
