Where Craftsmanship Meets High Tech
Interview with Holger Klimaschewski, Managing Director of HASENKOPF Industrie Manufaktur GmbH
In an era where industrial mass production dominates, companies that combine craftsmanship with the latest technology stand out. HASENKOPF Industrie Manufaktur GmbH impressively demonstrates how customized solutions, innovation, and sustainability can be successfully unified in the world of industrial manufacturing.
The HASENKOPF Industrie Manufaktur GmbH has stood for craftsmanship perfection and bespoke solutions for over 60 years. Under the management of Holger Klimaschewski, the company has established itself as a leading provider in the field of individually designed interior fittings in Burghausen.
Custom Masterpieces
HASENKOPF is known for developing tailored solutions that go far beyond standard products. "We start where others stop," explains Managing Director Holger Klimaschewski. "We are fundamentally a manufactory and value individuality." Since its founding in 1964, the company has continuously evolved and today offers a wide range of individual products for architects, interior designers, and carpenters.
The company has accumulated impressive references with its portfolio: the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the FIFA headquarters in Zurich, or renowned clinics that rely on the special solutions from HASENKOPF.
Particular attention is paid to the processing of solid surface materials like Corian®, which offer versatile design possibilities and enormous durability, but are also characterized by a very special tactile feel. These innovative solid surface materials are made from a mixture of mineral components and synthetic resins. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology and over 200 available colors, the design possibilities are virtually limitless.
HASENKOPF specifically addresses the wishes and needs of its customers. 'Our products are as individual as the people who use them,' says Holger Klimaschewski. 'From custom-made washstands to counters for shop fittings to creative facade solutions – HASENKOPF products stand for the highest quality and individual aesthetics.'
Innovation and Sustainability as Success Factors
Innovation and sustainability are at the heart of the company's philosophy. HASENKOPF has taken a leading role in the development of new products. An example of this is the new faucet-free sink, where the water flows via infrared control. 'Such solutions are in demand, especially in public areas, as they not only improve hygiene but are also vandalism-proof,' explains Holger Klimaschewski.
Sustainability for HASENKOPF means not only durability but also the ability to rework products at any time. "Our products last for decades and still look like new even after many years," emphasizes Holger Klimaschewski. This ability to reprocess enhances the environmental friendliness of the products and makes them a long-term investment. In addition, the company focuses on environmentally conscious production: the entire factory in Burghausen is equipped with photovoltaic systems, which reduces energy costs and reduces the ecological footprint.
Strong corporate culture and a dedicated team
With around 180 employees, HASENKOPF is a significant employer in the Burghausen region. "Our employees are our greatest asset," stresses Holger Klimaschewski. Cohesion within the team is fostered through open and transparent communication, as well as regular company events. Additionally, HASENKOPF heavily invests in employee training and the expansion of modern technologies. Especially in the areas of digitization and lean manufacturing, the company adopts future-oriented methods to increase efficiency and remain competitive. "We want to strengthen our location in Germany and ensure that we remain competitive here with the latest technologies," says the managing director.
Future Prospects and Expansion Plans
HASENKOPF looks to the future with optimism despite economic uncertainties. The company is well-positioned both nationally and internationally and sees great potential for further expansion. "Although our core business is in the DACH region, we are increasingly reaching out to new markets," explains Holger Klimaschewski. Currently, the company is working with renowned architects on a range of new products. These are expected to hit the market at the beginning of next year and will add new design highlights to the portfolio.
HASENKOPF is also increasingly focusing on the healthcare and industrial design sectors. "The demands for design and functionality are increasing in many industries, and we are well positioned to meet these demands," emphasizes Holger Klimaschewski. With flexible solutions for trains, airplanes, motorhomes, and even jukeboxes, HASENKOPF has already demonstrated its versatility. Over the coming years, the company plans to develop further creative solutions for new industries.
