More Value on the Floor
Interview with Jasmin Arens, COO of InCase Handelsgesellschaft mbH
From hair accessories to beauty accessories, from manicure scissors to travel luggage: InCase Handelsgesellschaft mbH, based in Essen, has secured itself a firm position as a reliable retail partner over the past 20 years. In doing so, it always shows a trend-conscious attitude – the entire portfolio is aligned with the fashion and beauty industry. However, its range of services extends far beyond this.
InCase was founded in 2003 by industry expert Joachim Hendrichs. "He recognized early on the importance of comprehensive assortment concepts for retail," reports COO Jasmin Arens. The company has developed significantly in the area of hair accessories and has continuously expanded its portfolio since then. Today, it includes beauty and wellness products, hair accessories, manicure and pedicure tools, travel accessories, and sustainable product lines. The products are offered both under its own brands such as ‘Guilia’, ‘Oakland’, or ‘Pfeilring’ and through private label concepts for major retailers. The comprehensive service package for trade is special: In addition to pure products, the company offers complete assortment solutions including logistics, shelf maintenance, space management, and trend consulting. "Our customers can rely on us to analyze the market for them, identify trends, and flexibly adapt assortments," emphasizes Jasmin Arens.
The customer structure ranges from drugstores and department stores to discounters and retail chains domestically and internationally. The company employs around 80 employees. Internationally, InCase has expanded its presence; it sees further potential for growth particularly in Eastern Europe as well as in the Middle East and North Africa.
Sustainable Commitment
The great commitment of the employees is one of the central strengths of InCase. "We live a corporate culture characterized by openness, mutual respect, and enthusiasm for the product," says Jasmin Arens. Production is mainly in close partnership with long-standing suppliers in the Far East, supplemented by manufacturing in Italy, France, and Germany. Sustainability is increasingly playing a role in the company. Thus, InCase offers recyclable packaging, sustainable materials, and durable products and has presented its first voluntary sustainability report. To continue to grow efficiently, InCase is increasingly relying on digital tools and artificial intelligence in internal processes as well as for better control of assortments in trade. "We want to help our employees work more efficiently and make our structures future-proof," explains Jasmin Arens.
