LEUE & NILL Group, a legacy insurance brokerage firm rooted in tradition yet evolving with the changing dynamics of the global market, stands out as a trusted partner to its clients and is also active in the market with other strong brands. Built on enduring values such as loyalty, reliability, and trust, the company combines decades of expertise with forward-thinking strategies to navigate an increasingly complex risk landscape. By delivering tailored insurance solutions that meet the unique needs of each client, it provides comprehensive support across borders, ensuring security and confidence in an ever-changing world.

Since 1864, when Albert Leue took over the ‘Vaterländische Feuerversicherungs AG’, the company has been synonymous with loyalty, reliability and honesty. LEUE & NILL has evolved over time to meet the changing needs of its customers and partners. Today, Joachim and Stefan Nill, Torben Ristau and Andreas Faden form the management team of the insurance brokerage company, which is part of Assurex Global, the world’s largest network of independent insurance brokers. While the company’s headquarters are located in Dortmund, branch offices across Germany and affiliates have been established in Switzerland, Austria and Hungary.

Globally active with a personal touch

LEUE & NILL offers a broad array of insurance solutions, including liability insurance, car fleet insurance, property and engineering insurance, cyber insurance, marine and business interruption insurance as well as accident, health and live/pension solutions. “We operate on behalf of our customers,” explains Andreas Faden. “Thanks to our in-depth market knowledge, we are in the position to cooperate with almost all German insurance companies.” Manufacturing, retail and logistic companies particularly as well as high networth individuals rely on LEUE & NILL’s expertise. The latter ones including family offices are services in a special VIP division of the group.

“Customers appreciate the fact that we operate internationally and that we offer tailor-made solutions,” states Stefan Nill. “We work out individual solutions, analyze risks and agree on a risk transfer strategy with customers who wish to transfer risks. Medium-sized companies in particular take advantage of the fact that we are not an anonymous group but a family-owned and -run business with a long history. We put great emphasis on strong partnerships with a very personal touch. If someone wants to get in touch with LEUE & NILL, no computer voice will be answering but a real person.”

Climate change and cyber crime

LEUE & NILL’s portfolio has changed over time. Today, solutions such as cyber insurance and business interruption insurance are becoming increasingly important. Due to climate change and geopolitical crises, the company must adapt to new challenges. “Customers expect stability, solidity and expertise,” explains Stefan Nill.

“For this reason, training programmes are of great importance. We need to understand our customers’ businesses, their issues and needs. Therefore, we need to analyze global markets in order to work out the perfect solution. This solution is not always the most economical, but the most cost-effective option. We regularly discuss with our customers which insurance is really necessary, and which one is not. Especially large corporations are under pressure to reduce costs.”

In order to strengthen its own efficiency and to become more agile and flexible, LEUE & NILL is investing in innovative technologies such as AI. “Our vision is to maintain our independence, drive digital transformation and further optimize processes,” resumes Stefan Nill. “We want to further grow while remaing a reliable compass.”
