What makes an event special? The answer lies in the art of combining creative ideas with professional execution. Blueprint Events & Services GmbH in Cologne provides tailor-made solutions that satisfy both large brands and small organizers. Their unique selling point is the combination of innovative thinking and extensive experience.

The story of Blueprint began during their college years when the founders started organizing events for their faculty. "At that time, we realized large festivals and events for the students," recalls CEO Marc Lehmann. This passion for event management led the team to start working for bigger festivals and eventually took the leap to build the company professionally. "We decided to move from the kitchen table to an office desk and hire our first employees," he explains.

Initial Success

In the early years, certain events significantly contributed to the rise of Blueprint Events & Services GmbH. Particularly notable was the PAROOKAVILLE Festival 2016, where the team drew attention with creative decorations and large signs. "We built striking signs then and thereby gained sponsors and agencies that wanted to work with us," recalls Marc Lehmann. Additionally, the event series Jeck im Sunnesching in Cologne played a significant role, as it helped the company establish itself in the local event landscape. These initial successes laid the foundation for further development and growth of Blueprint.

High Adaptability

Not even the COVID-19 pandemic could interrupt their success curve. "During the pandemic, we quickly switched to livestreaming and were able to maintain our business," reports Marc Lehmann. This flexibility allowed the company to explore new market segments and remain in touch with clients even during difficult times.

A Well-Coordinated Team

Currently, Blueprint employs about 20 staff members who are passionate about implementing events. The annual revenue is approximately 4.5 million EUR. "We have built a strong team that supports and motivates each other," emphasizes Marc Lehmann. "This team dynamics is crucial for our success as it ensures high quality in project execution.

Customer Focus

Blueprint places great emphasis on close collaboration with its customers. "We listen carefully and understand what the customer really needs," explains Marc Lehmann. This leads to the company successfully implementing a high percentage of its inquiries. "We might receive about 35 inquiries and implement 28 of them," he adds. This efficiency is a key to success in the competitive event market. Another success factor is the wide range of services offered. From large public events to tailored corporate events, the company offers a variety of solutions. "We are flexible enough to address the specific challenges of our clients and position ourselves in various market segments," says Marc Lehmann.

Trust and Transparency

In return, Blueprint can rely on the trust and long-standing loyalty of customers who know that Blueprint will do everything to make the event special. "We communicate openly and honestly, even when things get tough," stresses Marc Lehmann. This transparency creates a solid foundation for cooperation and ensures that everyone is on the same page. "Trust is the foundation of every successful partnership," adds the CEO.

Unforgettable Experiences

The events are intended to be memorable while the company focuses on minimizing its ecological footprint. Sustainability and quality are at the heart of Blueprint's event planning. "What we produce should not be for the trash," explains Marc Lehmann. The materials and solutions offered are designed for durability and environmental friendliness.

The Power of Great Events

The current economic challenges also affect the event industry. "We are lucky to have evolved with the market," says Marc Lehmann. While some customers are more hesitant, others see the need to invest in marketing and events to strengthen their brands. "Big brands must continue to invest in marketing to remain in the consumers' minds," he explains. "Even in times of a shortage of skilled workers, internal events can positively impact employee retention."

A Clear Vision for the Future

The goals for the future are clear: "We want to further expand our production capacities and strengthen our brand's positioning," says Marc Lehmann. Customer satisfaction and the satisfaction of our own employees are the top priorities. "If we can continue to make people smile, we have achieved our goal," concludes Marc Lehmann optimistically.
