The integration into KLE Holding has opened additional opportunities for the company to strengthen its position through organic growth and targeted acquisitions. Especially in the Rhine-Main area, Kretz + Wahl has established itself as a market leader, while the location in Munich is still at the beginning of a promising development.

In addition to air conditioning technology, Kretz + Wahl has also strongly positioned itself in the maintenance sector. This business area has grown in recent years and contributes to making the company more broadly based and stable. The company has earned a good reputation, particularly through the use of its own technicians, which enables above-average service. However, the shortage of skilled workers poses a challenge, especially in this industry. "The gap is there, but we are working on closing it," says Michael Übel.

Future Perspectives and Visions

For the future, Kretz + Wahl plans to further expand its market position and establish itself as a leading provider of comprehensive building technology. "We will expand our range of services through targeted acquisitions in the areas of heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and media technology, thereby developing into a technical general contractor," says Michael Übel. A special focus lies on the further development of cleanroom technology and the energetic renovation of ventilation and air conditioning systems, which are to play an even larger role in the portfolio in the future. At the same time, the challenge remains to overcome the shortage of skilled workers and to advance digitalization.

"Digitalization and AI are topics where we are still at the very beginning in the industry," admits Michael Übel. "Those who engage here will be at the forefront in ten years." Kretz + Wahl has already taken initial steps in this direction, including the introduction of Building Information Modeling (BIM), which enables the company to make processes more efficient and resource-saving. Kretz + Wahl primarily targets industrial companies and the public sector. The company is also active in social media, using platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram to increase its reach and recruit employees. Moreover, the company plans to expand its participation in trade fairs, particularly in the area of cleanroom technology, to attract new customers and further strengthen its market position.
