Great Strength: "We Build Custom Noise Protection!"
Interview with Frank Maatz, Managing Partner of MB Anlagenbau GmbH
In many industrial manufacturing processes, it gets really loud. To protect employees from harmful noise, effective noise protection is essential. This is where MB Anlagenbau comes in. This owner-managed company exclusively manufactures individual noise protection solutions, including tailored air technology. The company from Blomberg in East Westphalia offers the highest quality and the experience of more than four decades.
We build custom-made noise protection," emphasizes Frank Maatz, Managing Partner of MB Anlagenbau GmbH. "We provide customers with tailor-made suits for their machines." While many competitors offer a modular system as standard, MB Anlagenbau always manufactures individually: tailored to the machine, tailored to the customer. The company focuses on noise protection for machines that are very loud, as well as on the corresponding ventilation inside the cabins.
"This segment has had potential for decades and continues to be promising for the future," observes the managing director. "We serve the entire machine market - from rotary piston compressors and compressors to punches and presses, as well as for machines in the wire drawing and automotive industry."
The range of solutions extends from soundproof booths the size of one square meter to facilities for press lines 30 to 40 m in length. Already in the planning phase, MB Anlagenbau is brought on board by the customers to adapt soundproofing and air technology to the new machines or production lines. The transmission of the corresponding data is mostly digital.
Modernize Step by Step
More than 40 years ago, Jochen Maatz, the father of today's managing director, founded the company and focused from the outset on soundproof booths and air technology systems. Since then, the number of employees has risen from five to 55 today, generating an annual turnover of six million EUR.
Since 2021, Frank Maatz has been the Managing Partner of the company, which he aims to gradually make future-proof, currently for example by implementing a modern inventory management system. The company's own field service takes care of existing and potential new customers. In addition, MB Anlagenbau is present at small and large trade fairs in the industry.
Between 20 and 30% of its revenue is generated outside of Germany by the owner-managed company. With open communication and various benefits, Frank Maatz wants to continue to make the company attractive to employees. In doing so, he also sees it as his obligation to continue the business founded by his father and to provide employees with a good livelihood.
