Illness, job changes, and vacations often lead to personnel shortages in clinics and practices. Sometimes doctors are only sought for a limited time. Pacura doc GmbH provides a solution. The young company based in Düsseldorf has committed itself to ensuring the medical care of patients as seamlessly as possible. The ambitious service provider maintains a pool of about 150 permanently employed physicians from various specialties.

Wirtschaftsforum: Ms. Endres, how would you describe the business model of Pacura doc?

Ewgenija Endres: We started with the permanent employment of doctors to differentiate ourselves from the competition. These permanently employed doctors are provided by us to hospitals, clinics, medical centers, rehabilitation facilities, and practices. In the meantime, we have expanded our portfolio to include locum tenens assignments. Should a client need a service at short notice – for example, for a weekend – we can also provide them with qualified staff for this. I also like to call this service 'fire brigade deployments'. For this, we check in our pool of doctors to see who would like to take on the service. If a client wants to employ a doctor permanently, we also offer direct placement.

Wirtschaftsforum: Since when does Pacura doc exist and how has the company developed since its founding?

Ewgenija Endres: In 2019, Alexander Gusev founded Pacura doc. He now leads our parent company, the arano group, as the managing director. At that time, I was solely leading the entire business area. After analyzing our business model and unique selling propositions, we included permanent recruitment in our portfolio. Thanks to this model, we were able to offer consistent quality and the employees were satisfied as well. This also developed a basis of trust with our customers.

Wirtschaftsforum: What is the current structure of Pacura doc?

Ewgenija Endres: We are part of the Nuremberg-based arano group and are headquartered in Düsseldorf. We have two additional locations in Hamburg and Nuremberg. We currently employ 24 internal staff and 150 permanently employed doctors who are deployed all over Germany.

Wirtschaftsforum: How is your sales organized? How do you inform potential customers about the benefits that cooperation with Pacura doc can offer them?

Ewgenija Endres: We use the telephone for classic customer outreach. We are always very interested in binding customers to us long-term. Additionally, we seek personal contact with existing customers, but we also travel to potential new clients and introduce ourselves.

Wirtschaftsforum: And how do you acquire new employees?

Ewgenija Endres: Potential new employees apply to us on their own. We post ads on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook, as well as on Stepstone, Kununu, and in specialized magazines.

Wirtschaftsforum: What role does digitalization play in your processes?

Ewgenija Endres: For us, digitalization is extremely important because we want to make our processes as efficient as possible. We also want to make it easy for our customers, so we work largely paperless and with digital signatures. A major focus within the arano group is the Master Vendor principle. With the help of a digital tool, we enable the quick and easy coverage of our clients' staffing needs. The client – usually larger employers – places their needs on the compleet platform, has only one contact person with us, and we provide them with the suitable staff as quickly as possible. Should this not be possible at times, we utilize resources from our co-suppliers.

Wirtschaftsforum: What do you think accounts for the success of Pacura doc?

Ewgenija Endres: Behind every success there is an even more successful team. We live a vision and have values that we carry both internally and externally. Our company stands for trust and respect, for appreciation, for transparent, honest, and open communication as well as for team spirit and fun. Customers know that they can trust us because we have reliable doctors who are permanently employed with us. Every individual personality plays a role in our company. Therefore, we respond to the needs of our customers and our employees. We organize summer parties where we come together. It is important to us that we also celebrate challenges and successes together.

Wirtschaftsforum: What are your plans for the coming years?

Ewgenija Endres: We are very vision-driven and want to support medical facilities in providing their patients with as seamless care as possible. This is also a very important concern for me personally. Other goals include expansion, growth, and realignment as well as consolidating our three business models.
