The RAD-x Group, a leading company group in the field of imaging diagnostics, has established itself in recent years as a reliable partner for doctors and medical facilities in Germany and Switzerland. Founded by Arthur Vogt and a partner who has since left the company, the company is today an exemplary case of organic growth and strategic collaboration in healthcare. With a clear focus on quality and sustainability, and a deep rootedness in local autonomy, the RAD-x Group sets new standards in medical care.

Arthur Vogt, one of the two founders and Co-CEO of RAD-x Management GmbH, began his journey in the healthcare industry from another company. The idea for founding originated in 2015, when Arthur Vogt and his then-partner recognized the need for a comprehensive and sustainable structure for radiological practices. The first significant practice that joined the RAD-x group was a radiological facility in Switzerland with two locations.

This practice, now an integral part of the group, marked the starting point for the company's development. At the end of 2016, the RAD-x Group was officially founded, and the search for suitable investors began. A Dutch fund specializing in healthcare investments became the young company's first financial partner.

Development and Growth

A milestone was the acquisition of the first practice in Geneva in January 2017. This step was not only symbolically important but also enabled the company to gain the necessary expertise for further expansion. To enable the establishment of a Medical Care Center, a hospital operation needed to be integrated.

In Bad Kreuznach, an acute care clinic for rheumatology and a rehabilitation clinic were therefore taken over. In the same year, Fabian Groß, the current Co-CEO, joined the RAD-x Group and took on operational tasks. Groß, who has since been involved in the strategic direction of the company, supported the building and stabilization of the group.

Proven in Germany

The year 2020 marked another important milestone in the company's history: the first practice in Germany was acquired, specifically in Bavaria with a total of three locations. Shortly thereafter, the COVID-19 pandemic also hit the RAD-x Group, but thanks to a robust and flexible business model, the company was not only able to survive but even continue to grow.

A key component of the RAD-x Group's offerings is teleradiology, which is increasingly being used in Germany. This form of diagnostics allows for close cooperation with the hospitals served and showcases the company's innovative strength.

Concept with a Solid Foundation

Today, the RAD-x Group encompasses 26 locations, including five in Switzerland and the rest in Germany. With a total of 750 employees in the group and an annual number of 420,000 examinations, the company has established a solid foundation. Despite its size, Arthur Vogt emphasizes that local autonomy remains a central part of the company's philosophy.

The practices that belong to the RAD-x Group mostly originate from independent entities. The holding company takes over central tasks such as accounting, financing, equipment maintenance, IT, controlling, and tax consulting, but the medical decisions remain firmly in the hands of the local doctors. This structure allows the practices to focus on their core competencies while the holding provides administrative and logistical support.

Collaboration as Partners

A distinctive feature of the RAD-x Group is the strong integration of employees. Communication and understanding the needs of the practices are crucial. Therefore, new employees undergo comprehensive training, where they also shadow in the practices to better understand the procedures and requirements. Another success factor is long-term planning.

The RAD-x Group does not focus on rapid growth, but on sustainable development. Each new practice is carefully selected, and the acquisition process is designed as a partnership. Not only the medical qualification of potential partners is evaluated but also whether the personality of the doctors and practice staff fits the company culture.

Focus on Sustainability

The topic of sustainability is playing an increasingly important role. The operation of imaging equipment, especially MRIs, is energy-intensive, which places special demands on energy management. The RAD-x group continuously works on optimizing its energy usage and taking social responsibility in dealing with its employees.

For the future, the RAD-x group plans to continue to grow organically and to integrate new practices that fit into the existing structure. The focus is on stability and continuity, not on rapid growth. Arthur Vogt emphasizes that the group will continue to expand, but always with a view to long-term development and the needs of the patients.

Goal: Best Provider

"We do not want to be the biggest, but the best provider of imaging diagnostics," Arthur Vogt summarizes the company's vision. This commitment to quality and continuity will continue to set the direction in the coming years and position RAD-x Management GmbH as an important player in the industry.
