Human Remains the Strongest Network
Interview with Denise Link, Managing Director of comcontrol GmbH
Digitalization is rapidly changing work environments. comcontrol GmbH from Schwalbach am Taunus assists clients with all issues related to telecommunications and mobile communications. We spoke with Managing Director Denise Link about the 30-year success story of a company where interpersonal skills, technical know-how, and a tailored portfolio play a central role.
comcontrol GmbH impresses with a unique combination of neutral advice, tailor-made Managed Service, and professional Smartphone Lifecycle Management. Thanks to flexibility, authenticity, and personal proximity, the company successfully implements even complex customer requirements in a collaborative and efficient manner.
From Telephone to Smartphone
"My father founded comcontrol GmbH in 1993," says Denise Link. "At that time, the focus was on classic telephone systems, and consulting was in high demand. Customers simply had no idea what was important in these systems. That's exactly where our consulting started." With the introduction of IP telephony, consulting gained new momentum, but soon the demand shifted. "Today, hardly anyone has a landline phone on their desk," notes Denise Link. "The market has changed, and we have moved with it. A crucial step was entering the mobile phone sector. We realized that for customers it's not just about negotiating master agreements, but also about the daily operations – when an employee joins or leaves, a device breaks, or international deployments are pending." Therefore, for about ten years now, comcontrol has been offering Managed Services and for five years also Smartphone Lifecycle Management including hardware procurement and accessories.
The Human Factor
In addition to technical know-how, comcontrol strongly emphasizes personal proximity. "Our customers appreciate our flexibility and authenticity. We are not a corporation, but adapt to the processes of our customers - not the other way around," explains Denise Link. This attitude fosters long-term partnerships. The combination of neutral consulting, contract management, managed services, and hardware support is unique in this form. But not only customer orientation, corporate culture also plays a central role. "The human factor is extremely important to us. We have a family-like culture with flat hierarchies, team events, and home office models. Satisfaction and openness in the team are central values for me." For the future, comcontrol aims for cautious growth. "I do not want to grow to 300 employees. It's important to me to stay close to the team and know everyone personally." Denise Link also closely monitors technological developments. "AI can make our processes more efficient, but it should not replace personal contact. We want to continue to treat our selected clientele like VIPs."
