Wirtschaftsforum: Mr. Wieduwilt, can you give us an overview of the most important milestones in the history of ISD?

Helko Wieduwilt: The company was founded by a group of shareholders who were originally active in the personnel services sector. In 1984, we acquired the Deutsche Hausmeisterzentrale, which laid the foundation for our current structure. Defining the strategy was a challenge, but branchification was key to our later success: We began to establish multiple locations to be closer to our customers. Today, we have over 100 branches in Germany.

Helko Wieduwilt: We offer infrastructural services particularly in the residential economy. These include, among others, cleaning services, janitorial services, and technical services. A major advantage for our customers is that we are locally present, allowing us to quickly respond to their needs. Our service staff are based in the region, which promotes a personal and trustworthy relationship with our customers.

Helko Wieduwilt: Branching out is a key success factor, as it allows us to be close to our customers. Moreover, we place great value on quality and the satisfaction of our employees. Another point is our ability to quickly respond to market changes and develop innovative solutions. Our digital infrastructure helps us streamline processes and ensure the quality of our services.

Wirtschaftsforum: How do you see the current market development and the competitive environment in the real estate services industry?

Helko Wieduwilt: Competition in the industry has intensified, especially with new players offering innovative services. However, there is also a rising demand for high-quality services. We are convinced that we can distinguish ourselves from other providers through our local presence, our quality standards, and our commitment to sustainability. The challenge lies in being flexible in responding to market changes while maintaining our high standards.

Wirtschaftsforum: What are ISD's plans for the future?

Helko Wieduwilt: We plan to increase our number of branches to 110 without rushing. In addition, we want to expand our service offerings, especially in the area of commercial office cleaning. Digitalization will continue to be a central part of our strategy to increase transparency and efficiency.

Wirtschaftsforum: What challenges do you see for the industry and how do you address them?

Helko Wieduwilt: One major issue is the shortage of skilled workers. We have our own recruitment center that specializes in the quick and effective acquisition of staff. Moreover, we must remain flexible to the needs of our customers to stay competitive. Digitalization offers many opportunities to optimize processes and improve the quality of our services.

Helko Wieduwilt: In five years, I would like us to be recognized as one of the leading providers in the field of infrastructural services in Germany. We will continue to invest in digitalization and sustainability and expand our service portfolio. My goal is to establish a strong brand that stands for quality, reliability, and innovation. I am optimistic that we will achieve this goal with our dedicated team and our clear strategy.

Helko Wieduwilt: I have the privilege of working in an area that gives me pleasure. The opportunity to shape changes and lead the company into a successful future motivates me every day.
