As an independent insurance broker, Securess sees itself on the side of the customer. "An insurance broker is the custodian of the customer, not a seller of products," explains Michael Stein. For him, this means seeking the best solutions for customers, irrespective of the offerings from insurance companies – a philosophy that has always led to high customer satisfaction. 

Career as a Calling 

Michael Stein has been at the helm of Securess since 2015 and brings extensive experience in the insurance industry. After a career as an officer in the Bundeswehr, he chose a career in the insurance industry in the 1980s. "I see my profession as a calling," he explains. 

Family-like Corporate Culture 

A central aspect of Michael Stein’s leadership style is creating a family-like atmosphere within the company. "We have built a real family over the last ten years," he says. This family culture not only boosts the motivation of employees but also their commitment to the company. Despite the challenges posed by home office and remote work, the team manages to maintain a positive atmosphere and achieve excellent results.

Strong Partner Network

With over 110 independent entrepreneurs who use the Securess platform, the company has built a strong network. "Every field service employee is an independent company that uses the services of Securess," explains Michael Stein. This structure allows entrepreneurs to work independently while simultaneously having access to the resources and expertise of Securess. 

25 Years in the Market

Securess itself was founded 25 years ago as a spin-off from the Postal Insurance and has evolved into an independent company. Through constant exchange and the integration of new employees, Securess has successfully consolidated its position in the market and serves both private and commercial customers. 

Expanding Through Acquisitions

To promote further growth, Securess plans to expand through the acquisition of other companies. Michael Stein emphasizes that many experienced brokers are retiring and do not know how to manage their portfolios. "We want to take over these portfolios and integrate them into our network," he says. This will not only support the company's growth but also further strengthen customer loyalty.
