myneva Group GmbH is a Europe-wide software company specializing in digital solutions in the nursing sector. Under the leadership of CEO Dieter Weißhaar, the company aims to save time for nursing staff and increase efficiency in facilities through modern technology.

For over 50 years, the myneva Group GmbH has been advancing digitalization in healthcare. With over 6,300 customers and 360 employees in seven European countries, the company offers software solutions for elderly care, disability assistance, youth and social welfare, as well as other social services. A primary concern is to save caregivers one hour per shift in administrative effort. According to CEO Dieter Weißhaar, they are very close to achieving this goal with currently 52 minutes saved. A key to increasing efficiency is the use of artificial intelligence (AI). "We have introduced voice recognition with AI, which allows caregivers to create documentation via voice input. This saves them time, frees up their hands, and allows them to better care for clients," explains Dieter Weißhaar. Sensing technology in care rooms that can detect falls or measure vital signs also helps to relieve staff. In addition to technological innovation, the CEO sees a need to make the nursing profession more attractive: "Stress and bureaucracy are the main reasons why people leave nursing. We are doing everything we can to minimize these burdens through digitalization."

Growth with social responsibility

The myneva Group is continuously growing – both through organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. Recently, DM EDV GmbH was acquired, adding 1,500 new customers. In Austria and the Netherlands, myneva is already the market leader, and in Germany, the company is among the top 3 providers in the nursing software sector. The expansion strategy is not an end in itself, but follows a clear vision. "We want to advance the digitalization of nursing in Europe and thereby create social value," emphasizes Dieter Weißhaar. The investors in myneva, including Summa Equity, a company specializing in sustainable and socially relevant business models, share these values.
Another future topic is the greater involvement of relatives in the nursing process. With a special app, myneva enables family members to view important information about their relatives and communicate with nursing facilities. This reduces queries and interruptions in daily nursing operations and ensures more transparency. Despite all progress, Dieter Weißhaar sees a need for action at the political level. He calls for a reduction in bureaucracy in nursing, fair financial resources for facilities, and targeted funding for digitalization: "We could be pioneers in digital nursing in Europe if we create the right conditions."
