Hardly any company is unaffected by the shortage of skilled workers. In the competition for suitable employees, it is important to present oneself as an attractive employer. Flexible digital benefits have proven to be an important part of a modern Human Resources strategy - and Munich's SPENDIT AG as a competent partner to present companies successfully in the labor market.

More than 6,000 satisfied corporate clients are now using the smart employee benefits from SPENDIT. "The SpenditCard is a VISA prepaid card for non-cash benefits," explains CEO Ralf Aigner. "There is also Lunchit – the digital meal voucher via app."

For 2023, the mobility benefit 'Mobility' is also planned, which will represent an alternative to fuel vouchers, job tickets, and company cars, and will cover all areas of professional mobility. "The trend is moving away from the mere company car," adds the CEO. "We are rethinking new solutions in the interest of sustainability. We want to move away from individual solutions in benefits, towards sustainable, digital options."

Countering Inflation

Despite the currently high inflation, the German economy continues to experience a shortage of workers. "This is a situation that is unfamiliar, fueled by Covid and the war in Ukraine," says Ralf Aigner. "Many companies are wondering how they can compensate for this development and retain their skilled workers. The employee benefits from SPENDIT are particularly suitable here. They can be targeted where employees feel price increases, such as in grocery shopping or transportation."

Proving Appreciation

In the intensifying battle for young talent and the best talents, besides purely material incentives, intangible values are becoming increasingly important. "With benefits, companies can show their appreciation to their employees and create attachment, values that have become so important," says the CEO. "These values are also part of the SPENDIT culture. The satisfaction of our employees is important to us. 'We are human' is our motto in dealing with each other. We work as a team and with mutual appreciation.

Development and Growth

The customer base of SPENDIT AG is broad and includes basically all companies and organizations affected by staff shortages. The core market of the company is Germany. Through a sales office in Vienna, the Austrian market is being developed.

"For instance, we are working for a large insurer on building a positive employer brand," reports Ralf Aigner. "We have a lot planned for this year. In 2022, we already expanded our sales team, and now we are focusing on product development and stronger growth. We are launching a central benefit management platform, which we want to establish as quickly as possible in the DACH region. Our goal is to become 'the' leading provider in the DACH benefit market."
