25 years ago, NOMIG GmbH was born from a vision: Thorsten Noack founded the company in Reken with the goal of meeting customer desires with more individuality, spontaneity, and cost efficiency. Today, the name NOMIG stands globally for high-quality polymer casting, characterized by exceptional hardness and durability in industrial use.

Since its inception, NOMIG GmbH has established itself as a pioneer in polymer casting. "We started with custom productions for coal power plants and expanded our range of products over time," reports company founder and managing director Thorsten Noack. "Accordingly, our customer base has grown, and KSB, the largest pump manufacturer of all, is among our clients."

Unique positioning thanks to the product

Thorsten Noack sees the success of his company in the combination of fast service and excellent product quality. "We have a worldwide unique feature through our product," he emphasizes. "NOMIG polymer castings are suitable for demanding industrial applications due to their exceptional hardness and durability." In view of the politically desired transformation of the energy sector, the managing director remains convinced of the importance of the coal industry. He emphasizes that coal power plants, when operated correctly, can work cleanly: "Accordingly, other countries are investing in this energy source."

NOMIG Products
For demanding industrial applications such as pumps in waste incineration plants and coal power stations, components are coated with NOMIG polymer casting, a material that is characterized by a hardness comparable to that of diamonds and shows extreme resistance to abrasion and corrosion.

Current Challenges

Thorsten Noack emphasizes his down-to-earth attitude, but sees the danger that other medium-sized companies may move abroad due to political developments and the associated burdens. "For us, innovation means looking for new applications," he adds. The coal industry may be losing significance, but we have already expanded into areas like waste disposal and sewage treatment technology.

Innovation and Change

Looking to the future, NOMIG is increasingly focusing on the Asian market. A subsidiary in China is developing a complete range of pumps that are not available in the local market. With these pumps, NOMI intends to initially serve the Chinese market, with international distribution to follow. The company's philosophy is characterized by a spirit of innovation and a pursuit of social change. "We want more performance incentives and greater involvement of people in political decision-making processes," says Thorerten Noack. "Nevertheless, we remain true to our mission: to produce high-quality products that meet demanding customer needs."
