Cancer is the leading cause of death and morbidity in Europe after cardiovascular diseases. Although new therapies have enhanced patients’ quality of life after treatment, the number of patients requiring treatment continues to grow. Nucletron BV, now Elekta Brachytherapy, in Veenendaal in the Netherlands has developed new therapies since 1975 to treat cancer, giving patients new hope.
