One of the fundamentals of running a successful business is to see potential in the market and find a way to address it. Sometimes this involves developing new products to meet the demand, but in some instances, the acquisition of an existing company which already serves that market is a better alternative. This was IZICO Food Group’s strategy when it acquired the Danish firm Daloon A/S at the beginning of 2016. IZICO was already a strong player in the supply of meat burgers and other frozen foods. The acquisition of Daloon, one of the leading international suppliers of spring rolls, provided a much-needed entry into the fast-developing market for Asian food.
