For decades, Europe has seen manufacturing jobs disappear to low wage economies in the Far East. However, the search for greater efficiency through just-in-time production is showing that shorter delivery routes are the key to keeping costs down. It may yet be too soon to sound the death knell for globalization, but companies like Printor Sp. z o.o., a Polish manufacturer of printed circuit boards, are finding that many of its clients are happy to have a supplier closer to home.
