One of France’s best-known engineering triumphs is the TGV high-speed train. Developed in the 1970s, it connected the French capital with the regions. Its speed was achieved through the use of composite materials in place of heavier metal components. One of the companies involved in the project was Stratiforme Industries S.A.S., which continues to break new ground today with its work in composite materials for a broad range of applications.
