Besides not being restricted to official state broadcasts, present-day residents can buy radios from whichever world-leading producer they wish. But when the devices need repairs, its possible that the owners turn to the same company as a quarter-century ago. And despite having grown beyond recognition, that company, Bentwisch-based Service Center Baumeister GmbH & Co. KG, is still led by the same person.
